Meet Winnie
Im Winnie Standish — a woodworker, YouTuber, and the person behind Standish WoodStory. I make digital plans and film real builds from my shop so beginner and hobby woodworkers can follow along at their own pace.
On YouTube you’ll find honest shop videos (about 40,000 of us in that community now). In the shop you’ll find clear, step-by-step plans for the same kinds of projects — the ones I’ve actually built and tested.

Good basic plan. Not sure how many people doing this would have the equipment to the all edge gluing. We didn't. so we used a "strap" top and bottom on the sides.
Also put a "strap" under the seat boards in the middle for added strength.
Nice simple pattern, perfect for using scraps of wood to turn into lifely gifts.
This is a great design that I will be building soon.

Can I share or sell the plans?
You are welcome to share or sell the items you create from the plans such as physical products, however please do not share or sell the digital files. All copyright to Standish WoodStory 2026
Can I get a refund on a digital plan?
All digital file purchases are final sale. No refunds or exchanges.
Plans and downloads
How do I get my plans after I buy?
After purchase, you'll receive an email with a link to download a ZIP file containing your PDF and any additional files. Please extract the ZIP file to access its contents. If you encounter issues downloading or extracting the ZIP file, email us with your order number, and we'll send the files directly within 48 hours.
What’s included in a plan?
A cut list, step photos and diagrams, and a link to the matching YouTube build video when there is one. Metric and imperial where the plan supports both.
Do I need special software or a printer?
No special software — open the PDF on your phone, tablet, or computer. Print at home on letter/A4, or take it to a print shop if you want larger sheets.
Using your plan
Are the plans in metric or imperial?
Most plans include both. The product page says which units you get.
What skill level and tools do I need?
Each plan lists skill level (beginner / intermediate / advanced) and the tools I used. Weekend projects are a good place to start if you’re new.
Is this a physical product or a download?
Digital plans and print-at-home templates are downloads nothing ships. Acrylic router templates (when offered) are physical and ship separately.
