Plans were excellent to use very well thought out and easy to assemble with minimal wood working skills,I built two
I bought these plans to build a phone holder and within a few days I had built two. The first followed the plans, the second deviated in a way so that the phone would be stable standing up or lying down on its side. The plans were easy to follow, and were nicely done. A person with zero woodworking experience could follow them.
My only critique regarding the plans was that I would have preferred that the dimensions for all of the cuts be given numerically, rather than having to rely upon a template that I printed and had to cut out (as per the plan's instructions).
Despite this minor point, I was quite satisfied with the plans as presented.
Winnie is a great source of help and knowledge. The plans are great and easy to follow. Once you get past the "I have never done this before," it all works out pretty easily. There is still a lot you have to pay attention to, but it depends on what tools you have on hand. I have a Skil Jigsaw, Palm Sander, Ryobi Circular Saw, and Drill Driver. All these are corded to, and I don't have a work table. So you can do it. Winnie was very helpful when I emailed her a couple of questions, and was a great help. All that said, you can't go wrong watching Standish Woodstory videos on YouTube or buying project plans from Standishwoodstory.com. Enjoy your new adventure in woodworking, like I have been. There is so much more to learn and so many ways to grow.
God Bless
Plans are clear and helpful.
